Cost Splitting

For private events, guests can share costs. Linden calculates each guest's share based on the total event cost and handles payment collection automatically. Guests receive an invitation with their amount and can pay directly through the platform.

Common Questions

When am I charged?

When you create an event, an authorization hold is placed on your card for the full amount (this is not a charge). As each provider confirms their booking, a 30% deposit is captured. The remaining 70% is charged 3 days before the event. Guests who participate in cost splitting are charged their share when they accept.

How do refunds work?

If a provider declines or cancels a booking, your deposit for that provider is refunded in full. For organizer-initiated cancellations before the remainder is charged, only the deposit is kept. After the remainder is charged, refund eligibility depends on individual provider terms.

What payout methods are supported?

Providers can receive payouts via Stripe direct deposit (ACH), Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp. Payouts are processed the day after the event is completed.
