Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Linden platform ("Platform"), including our website, mobile applications, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. Your continued use of Linden after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each individual may maintain only one account. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Platform.

3. The Marketplace

Linden operates as an online marketplace that connects event organizers with service providers, including but not limited to venues, caterers, photographers, DJs, and other event professionals. Linden is a platform facilitating these connections and is not a party to any booking or agreement between organizers and providers. We do not own, operate, manage, or control any provider's services, and we make no representations or warranties regarding the quality, safety, or legality of listed services.

4. Booking & Payments

When you book a service through Linden, you agree to pay the listed price, which consists of a deposit collected at the time of booking and a remainder due prior to the event date. A platform service fee is added to each booking. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refund eligibility is determined by the cancellation policy applicable to each booking, as described in Section 5. Linden reserves the right to place authorization holds on your payment method and to capture funds in accordance with the booking schedule.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Organizers may cancel a booking subject to the cancellation policy displayed at the time of booking. Refunds for cancellations are processed according to that policy and may be partial or full depending on the timing of the cancellation relative to the event date. Service providers may decline or cancel a booking under certain circumstances; in such cases, organizers will receive a full refund of any amounts paid. Platform fees may be non-refundable in certain situations. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

6. User Content

Users may post content on the Platform, including listings, reviews, photographs, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting User Content, you grant Linden a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. You represent that you have all necessary rights to post your User Content and that it does not violate any third party's rights.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: fraudulent activity or misrepresentation, harassment or abusive behavior toward other users, posting fake or misleading reviews, spamming or soliciting users outside the Platform, attempting to circumvent the Platform's payment system, and interfering with the operation or security of the Platform.

8. Provider Obligations

Service providers agree to maintain accurate and up-to-date listings, honor confirmed bookings, respond to inquiries and booking requests in a timely manner, comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the services they offer, and maintain any licenses or permits required for their services. Failure to meet these obligations may result in account suspension or removal from the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

Linden is a marketplace platform and does not provide event services directly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linden shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, any transaction between organizers and providers, or the quality, safety, or legality of services listed on the Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you to Linden in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with another user, we encourage you to contact us through our support system. Linden will make reasonable efforts to help facilitate resolution, including reviewing disputes related to bookings and reviews. Any unresolved disputes between you and Linden shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
